When we were little, a lot of us girls dreamed about being a princess. We watched the Disney movies, we read the fairy-tales and we twirled around in our bedrooms with imaginary princes, or talking mice. Most of those same girls loved dressing up like princesses too, poufy ball gowns, tiaras and wands if we were fairy princesses. And now, you’re pregnant and you’re supposed to be having a little girl. You want her to feel like just as much of a princess as you did!

Previously we talked about Hollywood leading ladies, but we don’t want to leave the guys out! There is also a long history of charming and handsome men gracing the movie screen. If you’re a mom that loves movies, then you’ve probably had your fair share of Hollywood crushes. The summer season is full blown upon us. We’re enjoying it to the max! You might not being enjoying it so much if you’re pregnant. I hear that’s rough in the heat. But soon all the misery will be worth it right? One of my favorite things about summer is summer picnics! I love the smorgasbord of foods, the cool refreshing drinks, the yard games and all the people you get to see. My family tends to get together more in summer than any other time and I always enjoy that. Does your family do the same? Young cousins can play and get to know each other, older cousins can bond over raising the kids who are just like them, etc.

As we’ve mentioned before, there are more than 10,000 saints in the Christian faith. With so many names and powerful stories behind them we felt like we could use some more for inspiration. Obviously there is religious significance here, but keep in mind that Christians do not worship the saints. They look up to them, they turn to them for strength and inspiration and in some cases they try to mimic their good and serving lifestyle. ven without sharing their faith you can view the saints in a similar light.

It was Shakespeare’s tragic heroine, Juliet, who first said, ‘a rose by any other name would smell as sweet’. She was quite right too, though maybe for different reasons that she had thought! The name Rose has been used in America since at least the 19th century, though its popularity dropped dramatically from its heyday in the 1920s when it was regularly in the top 25. Recently, more and more prospective parents are coming back to the name, appreciating its simplicity, prettiness and old-world charm. But it is an iconic name across the world, with dozens (if not hundreds!) of variants to choose from.
