Born in Champagne to 1028, Robert became a monk. After trying to reform several monasteries, he became head of a hermit group he moved to Molesne, CÃ´te-d'Or, to 1075, in huts of branches. Among them is the future Saint Etienne. But Molesne is gentrified. Then again, he left the Brotherhood with some monks to found the Abbey of CÃ®teaux, Cote-d'Or, where he died in 1111.
