History of Dick

Richard was born in 1197 in England. Although he came from a poor family, he was a brilliant student at Oxford. After becoming president of the university, he was elected bishop of Chichester. He had often oppose King Henry III to defend the rights of the Church. He reformed the clergy and led a pious and charitable life.
