Kate Chastain is Overjoyed to Welcome Her First Baby!
Kate Chastain, the beloved former star of Bravo's hit franchise Below Deck, has some exciting news - she is expecting her first child! The 39-year-old reality star took to Instagram on December 13th to share her joyous announcement with her fans, writing: "I'm already planning so many birthday theme parties for you."
People magazine was the first to break the news of Chastain's pregnancy. In an exclusive interview with the publication, she expressed her delight at this new chapter in her life: "I am absolutely thrilled to become a mother. It's something I've always hoped for so this is truly a dream come true!"
The Floridian native plans on being "protective" about what pregnancy details she shares publicly. However, she did share that she is due in May 2023. When asked why now was the perfect time to make her announcement, Kate explained that between upcoming episodes of Below Deck Galley Talk and Peacock's reality competition series The Traitors premiering in January 2023, there was no hiding her baby bump any longer!
Chastain first joined Below Deck in its second season back in 2014. Her no-nonsense management style and affinity for planning luxurious theme parties made her an instant fan favorite and helped propel the show into a major success. She left the show officially in February 2020 and has since gone on to executive produce and host Bravo's Chat Room as well as appearing as a regular on their series Below Deck Galley Talk.
The Traitors is Chastain's newest venture - a popular Dutch series adapted by Peacock which follows 20 contestants competing for a cash prize while trying to outwit three traitors among them who are attempting sabotage their efforts. The celebrity cast includes fellow Bravolebrities Brandi Glanville (Real Housewives of Beverly Hills), Kyle Cooke (Summer House) and Reza Farahan (Shahs of Sunset) as well as Olympian Ryan Lochte, former Bachelor Arie Luyendyk Jr., Big Brother winners Cody Calafiore and Rachel Reilly, Survivor alums Cirie Fields and Stephenie LaGrossa Kendrick, among others.
Chastain is overjoyed with this new chapter in life and can't wait to welcome her bundle of joy into the world next year! Congratulations are definitely in order for Kate Chastain!
