Comments :

My name is Danara. I was born in 1963 in Warwick, NY. I don't have any way of knowing if I was the first person named Danara, but my mom made up my name from 3 other names...my paternal grandparents had 3 sons named Dan, Art, & Albert (my father); she put the beginning of each name together & came up with Danara (originally it was going to be Danarta but she changed her mind). Several teachers & substitute teachers commented on my name & how pretty they thought it was & said they were going to tell their daughter's, nieces, etc they might want to give their baby my name if they had a girl. One of my sister's relatives by marriage named his cat after me & I believe there was a baby supply company with the name Danara based out of NJ (which may or may not have been named after me...I have no way of knowing). Hope this helps somewhat! - Danara
