Upon seeing me; shortly after my birth, I was named Wynetta (Pronounced: Why-net-ta). The Wynette (like Tammy Wynette) is also derived from this Native American Indian name. I have been told that she too had Native American Indian ancestry (though I do not knoe who she is; my relatives have always referenced her name when explaining the origin of my name).
