Exciting New Chapter For Brendan Urie As He Prepares To Become A Dad
The iconic pop-punk band Panic! At The Disco has announced the end of the project, as frontman Brendan Urie and his wife Sarah prepare to welcome their first child into the world. After a comprehensive Instagram post on Tuesday, Urie revealed that the couple is expecting a baby "very soon", while also indicating that the end of Panic! At The Disco will come to fruition.
The post detailed Urie's journey with Panic!, stating that it had been an amazing experience which had taken them across the globe and provided them with amazing opportunities. The singer expressed his love for all their fans and thanked them for their immense support over the years. However, after fifteen years in existence and millions of albums sold, he then went on to explain that now was time for him to focus his energy on his family.
Urie, who starred in 2017's Kinky Boots on Broadway alongside Cyndi Lauper, confirmed his intention to put an end to Panic! At The Disco with gratitude for both those involved in and enjoying the music they created.
Speaking about becoming a father for the first time and watching Sarah become a mother - something which he is both humbled and excited about - Urie concluded: "I am looking forward to seeing everyone in Europe and the UK for one last run together...I love you. I appreciate you. Thank you for existing". His sentiment was echoed by fellow musicians, who wish him all the best on this upcoming chapter of his life.
Fan reactions were mixed; although some were devastated by hearing that this would be their final tour together as Panic! At The Disco, many others were overjoyed at Urie welcoming fatherhood with open arms - something which had previously been difficult due to his demanding touring schedule - whilst congratulating him and Sarah on their upcoming bundle of joy. Evidently this was a necessary decision for what is surely expected to be a prosperous upcoming period for both Brendan and Sarah Urie.
The pair married back in April 2013 after two years of dating having met at a house party back in 2010; they have now been together nearly twelve years following their engagement in 2011. Fans are sure to enjoy following along with this beautiful journey they are embarking upon as they await the arrival of their new addition later this year; but sadly it must come at the cost of saying goodbye to one of alternative pop rock's most recognizable bands: Panic! At The Disco.
