The Surprising Story of Stacey and Joe: A Blended Family of Five

Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash have revealed that they are expecting their third baby together, a surprise addition to their already blended family. The Loose Women presenter and former EastEnders actor made the announcement on Wednesday, with a video of her presenting Joe with her positive pregnancy test.

The news came as a shock to the couple who had only just celebrated their wedding earlier this year, but were overwhelmed with joy as they shared the news with their fans. Stacey took to Instagram to express her gratitude saying: ‘Me + Him = 👦🏻👦🏼👦🏼🧒🏼👧🏼👶 So grateful & can not believe I’m saying this… Another little pickle is on the way… 😭 A HUGE surprise, but one that we are so thankful for 🥹 to the moon & back bub.’

The pair already have two children together - Rose and Rex - and are both parents to older kids from previous relationships. Joe is dad to 15-year-old son Harry and Stacey is mum to sons Leighton, 10, and Zach, 14. As well as being a blended family of older children, Stacey has previously said that she "can't wait" for her two youngest kids to grow up together.

Now it seems they will get the chance as Stacey took some time out from her busy schedule of reading bedtime stories and making packed lunches for school runs to share an update on her pregnancy journey. Posting a picture of her bump in a white dress with lace detailing, she wrote: 'Coming soon... Much sooner than we thought! When we found out we still wanted to have that first few months you usually would to adjust and get excited and enjoy it to ourselves, but that didn’t leave us with very long left.'

The TV presenter thanked fans for all the kind messages she had received since announcing the exciting news. Taking to her Instagram Story, Stacey said: "I just wanted to come on here and say thank you so much for all your lovely messages. I've been reading through them and your comments and everything, they're just so nice." She went on: "We actually found out way later than you would usually so we're a lot further along than when you would usually tell people."

Stacey also opened up about how she was feeling about welcoming another child into the world in such a short space of time after having Rose last October 2021. She continued: "So yeah I'm really really nervous...It was a real surprise but we're so grateful and really excited for what's coming."

As well as preparing for their third baby's arrival next month, Stacey revealed that she had been taking some time off work before returning soon; clearly excited about being welcomed back by viewers after some much-needed rest following such an important announcement in her life.

Stacey Solomon is certainly no stranger when it comes to big life events after celebrating one year since saying 'I do' at their Essex home Pickle Cottage earlier this summer. The couple marked their anniversary in July with an intimate garden ceremony where Joe gave an emotional speech about his wife saying: "We have worked hard over these years ... But I am so proud of us". Now it looks like there will be even more special memories made by this loving family next month when their third baby arrives!
