Every community has a naming system that reflects its history and culture. A name is unique to the history, meaning, and culture of the community to which an individual belongs. The Africans who live in the African continent base their names on the natural factors including the events surrounding the birth of the baby, order of birth, time of birth, season, or emotional warnings. African Americans have had a long history that has greatly influences their naming system.

If you have kids, you’re probably pretty familiar with a little company named Disney. If you don’t yet, you will be soon. There’s a ton of things in the Disney universe that would make great inspiration for names. Kids usually love all their programming, movies, stories etc. Most adults also love it (raises hand).

But sometimes you want to acknowledge the month your baby was born, conceived or due, without actually naming them for that month. Football season is well under way here in the USA. It's one of the country's most popular sports. Where I live, we typically root for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Tons of little boys, and even some little girls, look up to these players as role models. It's a path to greatness that seems so achievable. Many of these players started from humble roots and rose to be superstars. Lots of people find that very inspiring!
