Old Irish baby names are based on an old Gaelic tradition. Old Irish baby names consist of a given name and a surname. In Ireland, the first-born son is named after the father’s father, the second one is named after the mother’s father, the third one after the father, and the fourth one is named after the father’s oldest brother.
